Backflushing

- When internal damage has occurred in the transaxle, metal particles, clutch plate material, or band material may have been carried into the transaxle cooler. These contaminants must be cleaned out of the transaxle cooler and fluid cools inlet tubes before the transaxle is put back into service.
- To clean the transaxle cooler, use a mechanically agitated cleaner such as Torque Converter/Oil Cooler Cleaner 014-00028 or equivalent. Follow all of the manufacturer's instructions for proper use.
