OTD - Time Lag Test

1. Use a stopwatch to measure the time lag between the gearshift lever positions.
2. Connect the Digital Multimeter 105-R0053 as a tachometer.
3. Turn key ON, engine running (KOER).
4. Depress brake pedal and shift the gearshift lever from N to OD range.
5. Measure and record the elapsed time between the shifting of the gearshift lever and the feel of the shift engagement.
6. Idle the engine in N range for 1 minute to allow the ATF to cool.
7. Depress brake pedal and shift the gearshift lever from N to R range.
8. Measure and record the elapsed time between the shifting of the gearshift lever and the feel of the shift engagement.
9. Repeat the time lag testing three times and average the results.
10. Time lag should be approximately between 0.9-1.1 seconds.
