Disassembly






1. Use Torque Adapter T87C-77000-E to remove the the idler gear shaft nut.
(1) Secure the idler gear shaft in a vise. Use Torque Adapter T87C-77000-E to remove the idler gear shaft nut.
(2) Remove the idler gear shaft nut.

CAUTION: Use protective plates to prevent damage to the special tool.






2. Remove the (A) idler gear bearing and the (B) spacer.





3. Separate the (A) idler gear from the (B) idler gear shaft, then remove the remaining (C) idler gear bearing.





4. Remove one bearing cup.
(1) Secure the idler gear in a vise and install Impact Slide Hammer T50T-100-A and Bearing Cup PullerT77F-1102-A.
(2) Remove the bearing cup.

CAUTION: Use protective plates to prevent damage to the special tool.





5. Use Step Plate Adapter D80L-630-A to press out the other bearing cup from the idler gear.
