Power Steering Pump: Description and Operation

^ The power steering pump draws fluid from the power steering pump reservoir, pressureizes it, and then pumps it to the steering gear through the power steering pressure hose.
^ The power steering pump develops the hydraulic pressure necessary to operate the steering gear.
^ The power steering pump cannot be disassembled. It must be replaced as a unit.
