Continuity Test

1. Use 73 Digital Multimeter 105-R0051 or equivalent to check the continuity of the ignition switch. If continuity is not present according to the charts that follow, replace the ignition switch.
2. Disconnect the Ignition Switch.
3. Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the ignition switch:
Switch Position: Terminals
ACC: C2-1 and C1-6
ON: C2-1 and C1-4
ON: C2-1 and C1-6
START: C2-1 and C1-4
- All resistances should be less than 5 ohms.
4. Measure the resistance between the following terminals of the ignition switch
Switch Position: Terminals
ON: C2-2 and C1-1
START: C2-2 and C1-3
- All resistances should be less than 5 ohms.
5. If the ignition switch fails any of the above tests, replace it.
