Front Safety Belt

REMOVAL

1. Move the front seat all the way forward.






2. Remove the front door scuff plate by pulling upward.






3. Remove the rear door scuff plate by pulling upward.






4. Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100-A to loosen the front safety belt lower anchor bolt.

NOTE: Do not attempt to remove the front safety belt lower anchor bolt from the front safety belt retractor.






5. Remove the center body pillar inside lower finish panel.






6. Pry off the upper safety belt guide bolt cover.






7. Remove the front safety belt upper guide nut.






8. Remove the center body pillar inside upper finish panel.






9. Remove the height adjuster cover.






10. Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100-A to remove the two shoulder safety belt height adjuster bolts.






11. Remove the front safety belt lower guide screws.






12. Remove the screw from the front safety belt retractor and remove the front safety belt retractor and tongue as an assembly.

INSTALLATION










To install, reverse the removal procedure and torque to specification.

NOTE:
- Make sure the front safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
- Ensure that the front passenger safety belt retractor is not stuck in the ALR mode after installation.
- Perform the Functional Test Procedure to ensure that the new retractor operates properly.
