Inspection and Verification (Start Testing Here)

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the backup lamps.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged backup lamp switch.

Electrical
- Blown fuse:
- 10A METER or 15A METER (wagon only)
- 15A ENGINE
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose, damaged, or corroded connectors
- Blown bulbs
- Transmission range (TR) switch (A/T) or backup lamp switch (M/T)

3. If the fault is not visually evident, verify the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
