Charge Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

The charging system indicator illuminates when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position, and goes out as the engine is started and the charging system begins to operate.

The charging system indicator illuminates when the generator output is insufficient to maintain the battery's state of charge.

The indicator is located on the instrument cluster.
