INSTALLED LENGTH





Measure the installed length of each valve spring (6513). Verify the length is within specification.
Installed Height: 35.99-39.19 mm (1.44-1.48 inch).

FREE LENGTH





Measure the free length of each valve spring. Verify the length is within specification.
Free Length, Limit: 47.2 mm (1.86 inch).

STRENGTH





Use Valve/Clutch Spring Tester TOOL-6513-DD or equivalent to check the valve springs for proper strength at the specified valve spring length.
Compression Pressure @ Height
37.10 mm (1.461 inch): 422 N (95 lbs.).
27.71 mm (1.090 inch 892.7 N (200 lbs.).
Service Limit
Pressure Loss @ Specified Height: 5%.
