DIAMETER





1. Measure the crankshaft connecting rod journal diameters in at least two directions perpendicular to one another.
2. Verify the journal is within specification.
Diameter: 43.89-43.91 mm (1.7279-1.7287 inch).

TAPER





1. Measure the crankshaft connecting rod journal diameters in two directions perpendicular to one another at each end of the connecting rod journal.
2. The difference in the measurements from one end to the other is the taper.
3. Verify the taper is within the wear limit.
Taper (Per 25.4 mm (1.0 inch):
Maximum 0.008 mm (0.003 inch).
