Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTE: The fan motor, blade and shroud are not serviced separately.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to Powertrain Management.
3. Disconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector.





4. Disconnect the upstream heated oxygen sensor (H02S)(9F472) electrical connector.
5. Remove the three fan shroud bolts and remove the fan motor, blade and shroud assembly.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Tighten battery cable clamp to 7-10 Nm (62-88 inch lbs.).
