Audio System Components:

The Audio System Consists of:
1. Integrated Control Panel.
2. Digital Audio Compact Disc Player.
3. Radio Amplifier.
4. Radio Ignition Interference Capacitor.

There are three audio systems available:

Electronic Search Radio (ESR) Chassis Controls:

1. Electronic Search Radio (ESR).

Electronic Search Cassette (ESC) Radio Chassis Controls:

2. Electronic Search Cassette (ESC).

Premium Electronic Search Cassette (ESC) Radio Chassis Controls:

3. Premium Electronic Search Cassette (ESC) with amplifier and CD changer.

Each radio chassis is part of the integrated control panel (ICP) and cannot be separately repaired. Send the ICP to an authorized Ford Audio System repair facility.

All systems are equipped with four radio speakers.


Radio Frequency Interference Suppression Equipment
The radio ignition interference capacitor reduces interference transmitted through the radio speakers by the engine ignition and electrical system.
