Planetary Gears: Testing and Inspection

1. Check pins and shafts in planet assemblies for loose fit and/or complete disengagement. Use new planet assembly if either condition exists.

NOTE: Individual parts of the planet assemblies are not serviceable except for the differential components.

2. Inspect pinion gears for damaged or excessively worn teeth.
3. Check for free rotation of pinion gears.
