Disassembly

1. Prepare to remove the evaporative emission canister and bracket assembly from the vehicle.

2. Thoroughly clean the exposed ends of the chassis vapor tubes. Do not allow any debris to enter chassis tubes.

3. Disconnect the:

^ flexible fuel vapor tubes from the chassis fuel vapor tubes

^ electrical connector at the fuel vapor storage canister vent valve

4. Remove the:

^ fasteners

^ evaporative emission canister and bracket

^ evaporative emission canister from mounting bracket

5. Remove fastener holding the canister to the mounting bracket, if applicable.

6. Thoroughly clean the exterior of the canister.

7. By pulling straight out while rocking, remove the Canister Vent Valve (CVV) and any other fitting attached to the canister.

8. Inspect all removed parts for damage. Replace if necessary.
