Engine Oil Dip Stick - Dip Stick Tube: Service and Repair

1. Remove oil level indicator tube retaining nut from exhaust manifold stud bolt.
2. Remove oil level indicator tube from exhaust manifold.





3. Clean bottom of tube and indicator tube mounting hole in engine block with metal parts cleaner.
4. Apply a bead of silicone rubber around bottom of tube and below raised ring.
5. Install or rotate oil level indicator tube to exhaust manifold retaining stud bolt.
6. Tighten nut to 16-20 Nm (12-14 ft. lbs.).
