EGR Electronic Vacuum Regulator Solenoid: Service and Repair

EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid, Typical:

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
2. Disconnect main emission vacuum control connector from EGR vacuum regulator solenoid.
3. Remove retaining nuts and EGR vacuum regulator solenoid from bracket located at rear of upper intake manifold.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten retaining nuts to 3.0-5.5 Nm (27-48 lb in). Tighten bracket bolt to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
