Inspection and Verification (Start Here)

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the sliding electric roof panel to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Damaged roof panel
- Obstructed roof panel
- Guide
- Damaged drive cable(s)

Electrical
- Open Power Distribution
- Box Fuses 12 (40 A) or 4 (30 A)
- Circuitry open/shorted
- Damaged roof sliding panel switch
- Damaged sliding roof panel motor

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the condition(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
