EGR Tube: Service and Repair

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve air tube from air cleaner outlet tube and upper intake manifold. Remove tube from vehicle.
2. Disconnect Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
3. Disconnect EGR backpressure transducer sensor hoses from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.
4. Raise vehicle on hoist.
5. Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from RH exhaust manifold.
6. Remove EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from engine.
7. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nuts to 35-45 N.m (26-33 lb-ft).
