NOTE:
- Perform Inspection and Verification before performing this pinpoint test.
- To clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's), refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code, Erasing. Clearing Trouble Codes

C1137-1 Check ABS Control Module C130
NOTE: Check for non-Ford approved accessories such as; cellular phone, CB transceiver or high power entertainment systems, or alarm system.

- Disconnect anti-lock brake control unit C130 and C132.
- Are all connections clean and tight?
YES - Go to C1137-2.
NO - Service connector as necessary. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.

C1137-2 Check Fuel Tank Ground Strap
- Check resistance between the fuel tank heat shield and the vehicle chassis across the bonding strap.
- Is the resistance less than 1 ohm?
YES - Go to C1137-3.
NO - Service fuel line bonding strap. Go to C1137-3.

C1137-3 Check Fuel Lines Ground Strap
- Check the resistance between the fuel lines and the vehicle chassis at connectors near the hydraulic control unit.
- Is the resistance less than 1 ohm?
YES - Go to C1137-4.
NO - Service fuel line bonding strap. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.

C1137-4 Check Anti-Lock Brake Indicator
- Reconnect both anti-lock brake control module connectors C130 and C132.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Is the anti-lock brake indicator lamp illuminated after 5-10 seconds?
YES - Replace hydraulic control unit. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
NO - The fault was corrected in previous steps. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
