Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. Verify the customer's original concern by operating the power seat to duplicate the condition.2. Inspect to determine if one of the mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
Visual Inspection Chart
Mechanical
^ Seat tracks obstructed.
^ Seat at limit(s) of travel.
^ Damaged lumbar support hose.
^ Damaged lumbar support switch and valve.
Electrical
^ Open Fuse Seats (30 A).
^ Loose, corroded, or damaged connectors.
^ Damaged switches.
^ Damaged seat regulator motor.
3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
