Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove windshield wiper linkage from upper cowl panel.






3. Disconnect harness to windshield wiper motor.






4. Remove bolt retaining windshield wiper motor output arm to windshield wiper motor crankshaft.
5. Remove three bolts retaining windshield wiper motor to mounting plate. Remove windshield wiper motor.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
2. Tighten windshield wiper motor mounting plate retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 in lb).
3. Tighten windshield wiper motor output arm retaining bolt to 26 Nm(19 ft lb).
