Output Shaft: Testing and Inspection

Check output shaft assembly for:
^ worn or damaged bearing contact surfaces, splines or gear teeth.

Input And Output Shaft Runout Measurement:

^ output shaft gear runout. Mount output shaft in a lathe or V-blocks and measure the runout at the mid-point.
Maximum allowable runout: 0.015 mm (0.0006 inch).
^ If runout exceeds maximum allowable limits, replace output shaft.
