The MTX-75 transaxle contains the following features:
^ front wheel drive five-speed manual transaxle
^ aluminum-cast transaxle housing of two-piece design with closed ends that reduces the use of external seals
^ three-shaft transaxle with all gear pairs constantly engaged
^ helical cut gears used in all ranges for quiet operation
^ rotating gears mounted on needle or roller bearings
The fifth gear range provides an effective overdrive ratio, which allows the engine to operate at reduced rpm providing reduced engine wear and improved fuel economy.
