End Play Check

1. Insert End Play Checking Tool T80L-7902-A and End Play Checking Tool Sleeve T94P-77000-V in the turbine.
2. Tighten the center collet of the tool.





3. Install Dial Indicator with Bracketry TOOL-4201-C or equivalent to the tool. Position the indicator button on the converter housing and set the dial face at zero.

NOTE: Dial indicator must be between the ridges of the torque converter.

4. Pull up on the end play checking tool and observe the dial indicator reading.
5. If end play exceeds 1.27 mm (0.050 inch), replace the torque converter.
