Shifter A/T: Adjustments
1. Verify that transaxle is in D position by viewing the TR sensor. The alignment marks will be aligned with the D arrow on the TR sensor body when the transaxle is in the full DRIVE position.
2. Have an assistant hold the gearshift lever in the D position.
3. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
4. Remove the transaxle shift cable from the shift arm using a screwdriver.
5. Depress the two locking tabs on the adjustment lock cylinder and rotate the adjustment lock cylinder as shown. The shift cable is now unlocked and free to slide in retainer.
6. Make sure assistant is holding the gearshift lever so that the indicator is centered on the D in the indicator.
7. Grasp cable forward of adjustment lock cylinder and move as necessary to align cable eye with pin on shift arm.
8. Install the shift cable end to the shift arm by pressing on by hand. Rotate the adjustment lock cylinder clockwise (from front of vehicle) until it snaps into place.
9. Lower vehicle. Shift transaxle through all transmission ranges to make sure shift control linkage operation is correct and indicator is properly aligned.
