Cleaning and Inspection

Clean the washers in clean solvent. Blow dry with compressed air. Check for damage to thrust faces, such as grooves, pitting or scoring. Measure selective thrust washers for correct size. Lubricate thrust bearings and rotate with slight pressure. If any roughness is detected, replace bearing.
