Turn Signal Switch: Description and Operation

MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH
The multi-function switch controls the following:
^ Turn signal lamps.
^ Hazard/flasher lamps.
^ High beam headlamps.
^ Flash-to-pass feature.

NORMAL OPERATION
The turn signals are controlled by the turn signal lever which is an integral part of the multi-function switch. Turn signals operate in the following manner:
^ Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
^ Mover turn signal switch lever to end-of-travel position to indicate a normal full turn.
^ The lever remains in position without effort until turn is completed.
^ The turn indicator cancel cam then automatically cancels the turn signal.

LANE CHANGE MODE
Operate the lane change system as follows:
^ Move and hold the turn signal lever to the first stop position when changing lanes.
^ Releasing the lever returns it to its normal position when the maneuver is over.
