Headlamp Switch: Description and Operation
The headlamp switch is a three or four position switch. The positions include:
^ Off
^ Parking lamps
^ Headlamps
^ Fog lamps (optional)
With the headlamp switch turned to the park position, power is supplied to the front parking lamps, the rear lamps, and the license plate lamps through separate circuit protection located in the instrument panel fuse junction panel.
Ground is provided through Circuit 31 (BK). With the headlamp switch turned to the headlamp position and the dimmer switch in the low position, the fog lamps can be turned on by pulling straight out on the headlamp switch knob.
If the headlamp switch is left in either the parking lamp or headlamp position and the driver's front door is opened, a warning chime will sound to indicate that the headlamp switch is on.
