Coolant Level Sensor: Description and Operation

The low coolant level sensor is mounted in the radiator coolant recovery reservoir. When the engine coolant level in the radiator coolant recovery reservoir drops below the FULL COLD "Min" mark on the side of the radiator coolant recovery reservoir, the low coolant level sensor completes the circuit to ground and the low coolant level indicator in the instrument cluster comes on.
