Sunroof / Moonroof Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. With the roof sliding panel switch in the NEUTRAL position, there should be no continuity between any terminals.

NOTE: Use a self-powered test lamp or an ohmmeter such as Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 014-00407 or equivalent to test the roof sliding panel switch.

2. When the raised portion of the roof sliding panel switch is pushed (to close the roof opening glass), there should be continuity between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. All other terminals should be disconnected.
3. When the indented portion of the roof sliding panel switch is pushed (to open the roof opening glass), there should be continuity between Terminals 1 and 7. All other terminals should be disconnected.
4. If the roof sliding panel switch assembly does not test as described, replace the roof sliding panel switch.
