Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove engine intake air resonators.
2. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring connector from Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor.
3. Disconnect the engine control sensor wiring from the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
4. Remove engine Air Cleaner (ACL) to-body O-ring retainer.
NOTE: Engine ACL and engine ACL intake tube may be removed together from engine ACL intake tube and duct.
5. Remove ACL body and engine ACL intake tube from retaining bracket and engine ACL intake tube and duct. Remove engine ACL intake tube from ACL body, if necessary.
6. If required, remove MAF sensor from engine ACL.
INSTALLATION
1. If removed, install MAF sensor and engine ACL intake tube onto engine ACL.
NOTE: Make sure engine ACL intake tube is fully locked into ACL body opening.
2. Position ACL body and engine ACL intake tube on mounting bracket. Make sure that mounting tabs are firmly seated in mounting bracket grommets. Install engine ACL O-ring retainer.
3. Install ACL element, if removed.
4. Install ACL cover, if removed. Make sure rear of cover is fully engaged in body. Close retaining clamps.
5. Connect engine control sensor wiring connector to MAF sensor.
6. Install the ACL outlet tube.
7. Install engine intake air resonators.
8. Start engine and check for air leaks around both ends of ACL outlet tube, engine intake air resonators and MAF sensor.
