Ignition Coil Bracket

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When battery voltage is removed from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), all learned values will be cleared and reset to predetermined values. When battery voltage is restored to the PCM, the vehicle may exhibit certain driveability concerns. It will be necessary to drive the vehicle to allow the PCM to relearn values for optimum driveablilty and performance.

2. Remove ignition coil.
3. Remove radio ignition interference capacitor.
4. Remove screw retaining Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve to exhaust manifold tube to the ignition coil bracket.
5. Remove the ignition coil bracket retaining bolts and ignition coil bracket from rear of cylinder head.
6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten ignition coil bracket retaining bolts to 18-23 N.m (13-17 lb ft). Tighten screw for the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube to ignition coil bracket securely.
