Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove engine intake air resonators.
2. Disconnect Throttle Position (TP) sensor from fuel charging wiring at connector.
3. Remove accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable from the throttle lever and accelerator cable bracket.
4. Remove throttle body retaining bolts.
5. Carefully separate throttle body from intake manifold and discard throttle body gasket between throttle body and intake manifold.
6. Remove accelerator cable bracket retainers and accelerator cable bracket.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage gasket surfaces or allow material to drop into manifold.

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.
2. Install accelerator cable bracket. Tighten retainers to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
3. Install throttle body, new throttle body gasket and the retaining bolts to the intake manifold. Tighten retaining bolts to 8-12 Nm (71-106 lb in).
4. Connect fuel charging wiring to TP sensor at connector.
5. Connect accelerator cable and speed control actuator cable to the throttle lever and accelerator cable bracket.
6. Install engine intake air resonators.
