Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair
REMOVAL and INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
NOTE: When battery voltage is removed from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), all learned values will be cleared and reset to predetermined values. When battery voltage is restored to the PCM, the vehicle may exhibit certain driveability concerns. It will be necessary to drive the vehicle to allow the PCM to relearn values for optimum driveablilty and performance.
2. Remove engine intake air resonators.
3. Disconnect the fuel charging wiring from engine control sensor wiring at connector on top of engine near the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Disconnect fuel charging wiring at connectors from the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor, Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor, fuel injectors and Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
5. Remove retaining bolts and remove fuel charging wiring from intake manifold.
6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten retainers securely. Verify all electrical connections.
