Turn Signals: Description and Operation

The turn signal system consists of:
^ Multi-function switch
^ Electronic [1][2]indicator flasher
^ Turn signal lamp assemblies (part of the parking lamp and rear lamps)
^ Indicator lamps (Located in the instrument cluster)
^ Circuit wiring
^ Circuit protection

Power is provided to the electronic [1][2]indicator flasher through the multi-function switch, which is powered through circuit protection in the power distribution box and the instrument panel fuse junction panel.

Ground is provided through Circuit 31 (BK).

With the multi-function switch in the RH position, power is provided through the multi-function switch and [1][2]indicator flasher to the RH front turn signal miniature bulb, RH rear turn signal miniature bulb and the RH turn signal indicator miniature bulb.

With the multi-function switch in the LH position, power is provided through the multi-function switch and [1][2]indicator flasher to the LH front turn signal miniature bulb, LH rear turn signal miniature bulb and the LH turn signal indicator miniature bulb.
