Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the dome/map, vanity mirror, or luggage compartment lamps to duplicate the condition.2. Inspect the system to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
Mechanical
^ Damaged dome/map lamp.
^ Damaged vanity mirror lamp.
^ Damaged luggage compartment lamp.
Electrical
^ Open circuit.
^ Circuit shorted to ground.
^ Loose/corroded or damaged connector.
^ Damaged harness.
3. If the inspection reveals concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern remains after the inspection, determine the symptom and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
