Instrument Panel Circuit Board: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument cluster.
3. Remove instrument panel lamp sockets and miniature bulbs by twisting counterclockwise and pulling out.







4. Separate instrument cluster housing from instrument cluster back plate.
5. Remove instrument cluster warning lamp lenses from posts on instrument cluster back plate.
6. Remove speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer and engine coolant temperature gauge.







7. Remove and discard all snap-in connector clips. Install new snap-in connector clips during reassembly.







8. Remove two instrument cluster printed circuit retainers. From the front side of the instrument cluster back plate, use a small flat-nosed drift to push in pins to release the instrument cluster printed circuit retainers.







9. Carefully remove instrument cluster printed circuit without bending.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse removal procedure.
