REPLACEMENT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove engine intake air resonators.
3. Disconnect heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) at wiring connector.
4. Remove oil level indicator tube.
5. Remove exhaust manifold heat shield retainers and exhaust manifold heat shield from engine.
6. Remove heated oxygen sensor from exhaust manifold.
7. Raise and support vehicle.
8. Remove three way catalytic converter (TWC).
9. Lower vehicle.
10. Remove exhaust manifold retaining nuts from cylinder head studs.
11. Remove RH exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold gasket from engine.
12. To install, reverse removal procedure noting the following:
^ Tighten exhaust manifold retaining nuts to 14-17 Nm (13-16 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten heated oxygen sensor to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten exhaust manifold shield retainers to 8-11 Nm (71-106 inch lbs.).
