Rocker Arm Assembly: Testing and Inspection

CLEANING
Clean all parts thoroughly. Make sure all oil passages are open.

INSPECTION
1. Inspect the valve tappet rocker arm bore for nicks, scratches, scores or scuffs. Replace any damaged parts.
2. Inspect the camshaft pad of the rocker arm for indications of scuffing or abnormal wear. If the pad is grooved, replace the rocker arm and inspect camshaft (6250).
3. Inspect the roller at the valve end of the rocker arm for indications of scuffing or abnormal wear. If the roller is grooved, replace the rocker arm.
