Minimum Thickness

NOTE:
^ The minimum allowable overall disc brake rotor thickness is stamped on the disc brake rotor and must not be exceeded.
^ The minimum thickness dimension (minimum wear thickness or discard thickness) is not the refinishing dimension. The rotor thickness after machining should be 0.50-0.760 mm (0.020 - 0.030) greater than the discard thickness.

PROCEDURE
^ With a suitable micrometer, measure the overall thickness of the disc brake rotor braking surface at four equally-spaced points around the disc brake rotor. A thickness reading less than the minimum rotor thickness requires disc brake rotor replacement.

SPECIFICATIONS - Minimum (discard) thickness
Front 22.2 mm (0.870 inch)
Rear 18.0mm (0.710 inch)
