K Traction Control Lamp on, No DTC

NOTE:
- Perform Inspection and Verification before performing this pinpoint test.
- To clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's), refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code, Erasing. Clearing Trouble Codes

K1- Check Traction Control Select Switch
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Cycle the traction control selector switch.
- Does the traction control lamp turn "OFF"?
YES
- Cycle selector switch to turn indicator lamp "OFF" and to allow traction control to operate. Retest system.
NO - Go to K2.

K2- Check Traction Control Disable Switch
- Disconnect the traction control switch.
- Check the continuity between the pins on the traction control switch as follows;
- Pin 1 to 2, Switch "OFF", no continuity.
- Pin 1 to 2, Switch "ON", continuity.
- Pin 2 to 4, Switch "OFF", continuity.
- Pin 2 to 4, Switch "ON", no continuity.
- Does switch operate properly?
YES
- Go to K3.
NO - Replace the traction control switch. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.

K3- Check For Shorted 31S
- Turn ignition switch to "OFF".
- Disconnect C130 and C132 from HCU.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Does the traction control lamp remain "OFF"?
YES
- Turn ignition switch "OFF" and go to K4.
NO - Service circuit 31S (BK/BL) and/or 31S(BK/GN) for short to ground. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.

K4- Check Relay Box
- Inspect, clean and reconnect both connectors C132 and C132.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN".
- Observe the traction control lamp.
- Does the traction control lamp turn "ON"?
YES
- Replace relay box. Restore vehicle and go to K5.
NO - System is operational. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.

K5- Check Anti-Lock Brake Control Module
- Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
- Turn ignition switch to "RUN" and observe the traction control lamp.
- Does the traction control lamp turn "ON"?
YES
- Replace the HCU. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
NO - System is operational. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
