NOTE:- Perform Inspection and Verification before performing this pinpoint test.

C1095-1 Check Anti-Lock Brake Pump Motor
- Start the engine, and listen closely to the anti-lock brake pump motor.
- Is the motor running continuously ?
YES - Replace the hydraulic control unit.
NO - Go to C1095-2
C1095-2 Check Anti-Lock Brake Operation
- Drive the vehicle in excess of 40 km/h (25 mph) and observe the anti-lock brake warning indicator.
- Is the anti-lock brake indicator lamp illuminated?
YES - Go to C1095-3.
NO - Previous service corrected concern. Clear DTC's and retest system.
C1095-3 Check Main Supply Fuse
- Locate and remove fuse 3 (80A) and fuse 7 (20A) from the power distribution box.
- Check fuse continuity.
- Are the fuses OK?
YES - Go to C1095-5.
NO - Go to C1095-4.
C1095-4 Check For Shorted Circuit 90 (R/Y) And 29 (O/Y)
- Disconnect the anti-lock control module C129.
- Measure the resistance between the output side of fuse 3 (80A) to a known good ground.
- Measure the resistance between the output side of fuse 7 (20A) to a known good ground.
- Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
YES - Replace fuse 3 (80A) or fuse 7 (20A). Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
NO - Service short to ground in circuit 90 (R/Y) or 29 (O/Y). Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
C1095-5 Check For Open Circuit 90 (R/Y) And 29 (O/Y)
- Disconnect connector C129 from anti-lock control module.
- Measure resistance between the output side of fuse 3 and the ABS control module C129-3, circuit 90 (R/Y).
- Measure resistance between the output side of fuse 7 and the ABS control module C129-3, circuit 90 (R/Y).
- Are the resistances less than 5 ohms?
YES - Go to C1095-6.
NO - Service open in circuit 90 (R/Y) and 29 (O/Y). Clear all DTC's and retest system.
C1095-6 Check Anti-Lock Brake Control Module
- Restore the vehicle. Clear all DTC's.
- Drive the vehicle in excess of 40 km/h (25 mph) and observe the anti-lock brake warning indicator.
- Is the anti-lock brake indicator lamp illuminated?
YES - Replace the HCU. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest.
NO - Previous service corrected concern. Restore vehicle. Clear DTC's and retest system.
