With Armrest

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected or reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 18 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.

2. Remove front ash receptacle.
3. Remove gearshift lever knob.






4. Carefully pry transaxle control lever plate away from console panel.






5. Remove four screws (two each side) retaining front of console panel to instrument panel.
6. Remove two screws retaining console panel to instrument panel through ash receptacle opening.






7. Open console glove compartment. Remove three screws retaining console panel to front floor pan.
8. Raise console panel and ease parking brake handle boot over parking brake release handle.
9. Disconnect wires to cigar lighter knob and element. Remove console panel.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
