Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield.
3. Remove outside rear view mirror.
4. For manual windows, place window regulator handle on front door window regulator. Install battery ground cable and window regulator control switch for power windows.






5. Lower front door window glass to align front door window regulator-to-front door window glass retaining bolts with access holes in front door.
6. Remove window regulator handle from front door window regulator for manual windows. Disconnect battery ground cable and window regulator control switch for power windows.
7. Remove two bolts retaining front door window regulator to front door window glass.
8. With a second person holding front door window glass, carefully pry front door window regulator from front door window glass.

NOTE: The help of a second person will be needed to perform this step.






9. Pull front door belt line outside weatherstrip from front door.






10. From outside of front door, raise the rear of front door window glass upward and lift front door window glass from front door.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse Removal procedure.
2. Tighten front door window regulator-to-front door window glass retaining bolts to 8 Nm (71 in lb).
