An A/C pressure cut-off switch is used on all vehicles to interrupt operation of the A/C compressor in the event of high system discharge pressures.

The A/C pressure cut-off switch is located in the discharge line between the A/C compressor and the A/C condenser core.

SINGLE FUNCTION
The A/C pressure cut-off switch has the following characteristics:
^ The A/C pressure cut-off switch is sensitive to discharge pressure.
^ The A/C pressure cut-off switch opens the circuit to the A/C cycling switch if discharge pressures exceed 2751-3068 kPa (399-445 psi).
