Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview: Overview

Diagnostics for this system require use of the Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 or equivalent. The module controlling the system being diagnosed communicates with the Data Link Connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel.

- Use the Rotunda New Generation Star Tester 007-00500 or equivalent connected to the DLC to retrieve continuous Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and to execute self test diagnostics for the integrated air bag module.

- If self test is passed and no DTCs are retrieved, GO to the Diagnosis by Symptom Index to continue diagnostics. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
