Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Testing and Inspection

Cleaning of the PCV valve is not recommended. The PCV valve should be replaced at the specified mileage intervals. Refer to the Maintenance / Service Intervals. Shake PCV valve and carefully inspect for splits or cracks. If PCV valve does not rattle or is damaged, replace it.
