Rear






REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle.
2. Release parking brake tension as described. Tension Release
1. Disconnect front parking brake cable and conduit from parking brake rear cable and conduit at connector.

Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Components/Description:






2. Disconnect parking brake cable retainer at frame.
3. Disconnect LH parking brake rear cable and conduit from RH parking brake rear cable and conduit at connector.
4. Release parking brake rear cable and conduit RH tabbed conduit retainer from frame using a 13 mm box-end wrench.
5. Remove RH cable tie-strap from rear stabilizer bar, wire retainer on LH axle bracket.
6. disconnect parking brake rear cable and conduit from retainer on RH rear axle housing by removing bolt and retainer.
7. Remove cable retaining E-clip and cable eyelet from rear parking brake cable. Pull parking brake rear cable and conduit out of rear wheel disc brake adapter boss.
8. Remove parking brake rear cable and conduits from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Insert parking brake rear cable and conduit through mounting boss and connect it to rear parking brake lever.
2. Push parking brake rear cable and conduit through mounting boss and install retaining clip.
3. Attach parking brake rear cable and conduit RH to axle retaining clip through wire retainer. Press tabbed retainer into crossmember hole until locked into place.
4. Route rear parking brake cable LH under RH cable between stabilizer bar stud and shock absorber. Connect RH cable end to connector assembly (part of parking brake rear cable and conduit LH).
5. Attach tie-strap on RH parking brake rear cable and conduit to rear stabilizer bar.
6. Connect parking brake rear cable and conduit connector to front parking brake cable and conduit.
7. Install parking brake cable adjuster and all cables with routing clips.
8. Connect all cables together with parking brake cable adjuster.

NOTE: Be sure to install correct adjuster for rear brake usage).

9. Perform adjustment if necessary. Adjustments
10. Lower vehicle and check operation.
