Front
REMOVAL
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Release parking brake cable tension as described. Tension Release
3. Disconnect front parking brake cable and conduit from LH parking brake rear cable and conduit at cable connector.
4. Using a 13 mm box-end wrench to compress retaining tabs, remove parking brake cable and conduit retainer from frame.
5. At front fender apron, remove screw holding plastic inner front fender apron to frame.
6. Pull back front fender apron to expose front parking brake cable and conduit.
7. Pull parking brake rear cable and conduit through frame and let it hang in wheel housing.
8. Lower vehicle.
9. From inside passenger compartment, remove the cover of sound deadener from front parking brake cable and conduit at the dash panel. Disconnect front parking brake cable and conduit from parking brake control at clevis.
10. Using a 13 mm box-end wrench, compress retaining tabs and remove front parking brake cable and conduit from parking brake control.
11. Push front parking brake cable and conduit down through dash panel and remove cable and conduit from inside wheel housing.
INSTALLATION
1. Start front parking brake cable and conduit through opening in the dash panel inside passenger compartment.
2. Connect end of cable and conduit to parking brake control clevis. Press tabbed conduit retainer into parking brake control.
3. Install sound deadener cover patch at dash panel.
4. Raise vehicle.
5. Insert cable and conduit through frame member toward rear of vehicle. Press tabbed conduit retainer into frame hole.
6. Connect front parking brake cable and conduit to parking brake rear cable and conduit connector.
7. Install parking brake cable adjuster and all cables with routing clips.
8. Connect all cables together with parking brake cable adjuster.
NOTE: Be sure to install correct adjuster for rear brake usage).
9. Perform adjustment if necessary. Adjustments
10. Lower vehicle
11. Check operation of parking brake.
