Disassembly and Assembly






DISASSEMBLY





1. Remove four screws retaining instrument cluster. Pull instrument cluster out of instrument panel, disconnect electrical connectors on rear of instrument cluster and remove instrument cluster from instrument panel.
2. Remove ash receptacle and retainer.
3. Remove four screws from the A/C control and pull the control out of the instrument panel.
4. Remove the electrical connectors and the vacuum hose harness from the A/C control.
5. Remove the A/C register retaining screws.
6. The A/C register assembly is secured in the instrument panel with snap tabs. Remove the A/C register from the instrument panel.
7. Remove two screws retaining either the LH A/C evaporator register duct or RH A/C evaporator register duct to the top of the instrument panel.
8. Remove one screw retaining the A/C evaporator register duct to the demister nozzle and duct and two screws to the instrument panel reinforcement.
9. Remove the A/C evaporator register ducts from the instrument panel.
10. Remove four screws retaining the demister nozzle and duct to the top of the instrument panel and two screws retaining the demister nozzle and duct to the instrument panel reinforcement.
11. Remove demister nozzle and duct from instrument panel.
12. Remove glove compartment.
13. Disengage wire harness from all locators, straps and/or clips as necessary, including ground wire eyelets. Remove harness from instrument panel.

ASSEMBLY
1. Install instrument panel wiring harness and secure to instrument panel reinforcement with all locators, straps and/or clips. including ground wire eyelets.
2. Install glove compartment.
3. Install demister nozzle and duct and A/C evaporator register ducts to instrument panel by reversing the Disassembly procedure.
4. Install A/C register, A/C control and instrument cluster by reversing Disassembly procedures. Tighten A/C control and A/C register retaining screws to 2-3 Nm (18-26 Lb-In).
5. Install ash receptacle and retainer.
